Motorists are urged to make safety their first priority as they head out to various
destinations in the country during the Easter holidays.
Traffic officials will be on high alert during this period to ensure compliance with the
rules of the road.
Obey the rules of the road and carry your driver’s licence with you.
Make sure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition before departure, and that all
passengers are wearing their seatbelts.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is against the law and lead to accidents.
Some parts of the country are experiencing high rainfall, and communities are urged to
be cautious whilst walking or driving on the roads and on bridges.
If it is raining and the roads are wet, slow down.
Remember, COVID-19 is still with us – mask up, move up and wash up or sanitize as you
enjoy the Easter holiday.
