Parkweg police seek information from the public about business robbery at clothing chain store #CrimeStop

The police at Parkweg Station are looking for information from the public that can help in the investigation of robbery case that happened at a clothing chain store in Waterfront Mall on Monday 4 April 2022. According to the 27-year-old complainant who is a security officer at the store they were about to close at about 19:00 when she was confronted by an armed unknown African male who then signalled for more of the suspects to enter the store.
A group of African males estimated to be ten (10) in number stormed into the store, broke display cabinets and helped themselves to cellular phoned belonging to different networks, different brands perfumes, and jewellery. The suspects spoke Nguni language (Zulu), were wearing masks on the face and gloves on hands. They then fled the scene and some are believed to have boarded into a Silver Volkswagen Polo that was parked at the corner of Henry Street and First Avenue. There were no injuries to any members of the staff reported.
A case of Business robbery was opened at Parkweg Police Station. Any member of the public who might have information that can help in the investigation of the case and the arrest of the suspects is requested to contact Sergeant Molelekeng Tsoeu at 065 820 6299. Alternatively the information can be submitted on MySAPS App or call the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
