Reports indicate that a truck and bakkie were involved in a collision.
On scene was Lima Charlie 1, Metro EMS and Rescue, SAPS, City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue and Titanium Securitas.
Medics assessed the scene and found that six patients had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
While on scene, one of the patients went into cardiac arrest.
Despite best efforts by all on scene, the patients condition rapidly deteriorated and was sadly declared deceased.
All the other injured patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further care.
