SA Passport Holders Can Now Visit 100 Countries Without Visas. People who have South African passports can now travel to about 100 nations without having to get visas in advance.

People who have South African passports can now travel to about 100 nations without having to get visas in advance. The passport has gone up by one into number 53 in the Henley Passport Index. The information that is place by the Henley Passport Index is founded information that is given to solely them by the International Air Transport Association.

The information shows the same move up for several other nations in Sub-Saharan Africa. This is due to many countries going through with modifying their visa regimes in line with the aims of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement. The recent states to have adjusted their visa needs are Sierra Leone and Namibia. The two states now give visas to several African nations. Amanda Smit, a managing partner at Henley & Partners, says, “Regionally, Seychelles, Mauritius and South Africa remain the top 3, with a global ranking of 26, 30 and 53 respectively.”

A the global economy adjusts and the centres of power move, Asia’s dominance on the list seems to be steady as Singapore and Japan hold on to the first place on the Henley Passport Index, both with a visa-on-arrival/visa-free score of 190 out of 227. “With visa-free/visa-on arrival scores of 188, Finland, Germany, and Souuth Korea remain in 2nd place, while Denmark, Italy and Luxembourg are in third place, with citizens of those countries now able to access 187 destinations worldwide without requiring a visa in advance,” says Amanda Smit. The United Arab Emirates has went up by a massive five places during the past three months after getting visa-free access to several African states such as South Africa. The United Arab Emirates is now the 15th state on the Henley Passport Index.
