There are very good people out there in the world that show that unity is the best thing amongst people. South Africans showed unity towards a lady this past weekend. The lady went on social media to ask people if they could buy her at least R10 prepaid electricity, she also sent her meter number. The woman posted the tweet on the famous Keabetswe Jan post of “O jewa ke eng?”
The woman says, “Can anyone buy me R10, electricity pliz (please)!…Meter Number 01310172919…” Tweeps came in numbers to help her keep her lights on throughout the months. One tweep offered to buy her electricity for the next 6 months. The tweep says, “Hey dear, just saw this one now. I am willing to help you with R100 electricity for the next 6 months. Don’t worry about it.”
One tweep offered to buy her basics for the month. The tweep says, “Please DM me, so you can buy some necessities to push throughout the month.” One tweep says, “This country makes me so emotional sometimes…God bless all of you!” Other tweeps posted screenshots of the token numbers of her electricity.
The woman then posted a follow up post yesterday, showing how much electricity she currently has. The woman received of 2000KW of electricity. The tweep says, “I have no words to express the love that people from all walks have shown me…I will keep everyone posted with the extra miles that I was also blessed. May God bless you all.”
