You Could Get Arrested For Wrong Info On Your CV. The President of South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa has signed a new National Qualification Framework Amendment Act.

The President of South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa has signed a new National Qualification Framework Amendment Act. According to eNCA, the Amendment Act has stated that people who are looking for work and prospective learners that insert incorrect information as their qualifications. This includes people who insert incorrect qualifications on social media.

Linda Meyer, a career and educational expert, says the Qualifications of South Africa would also maintain a national register to oust the people who have included incorrect information in their Curriculum Vitaes. The individuals are urged to include the qualifications that are legit and registered on the Nation Qualifications Framework. Schools that have unregistered qualifications will also be taken care of. Tweeps responded to the recent announcement.

One tweep says, “I strongly believe that there are more important laws in this country that should be amended like drug, crime sentences rather than this one…” Some tweeps felt that there was some sort of double standard. One tweep was confused as to when the new act began. The tweep says, “When did it start…[because] for sure those who are employed without relevant qualifications for sure some lied but hey some have political parties today…” One tweep says, “Jail time for lying on your CV but promotion or handshake for stealing millions of tax payer’s money. The country of the rich untouchables and poor victims where law is applied easily.
