Wife And Helper Apprehended For Allegedly Trying To Strangulate Husband. A lady from Phoenix in KwaZulu-Natal and her helper were apprehended this week for trying to murder the lady’s husband.

A lady from Phoenix in KwaZulu-Natal and her helper were apprehended this week for trying to murder the lady’s husband. The husband was reportedly watching the television at the time of the incident. Colonel Thembeka Mbele, the KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, stated that a total number of four ladies attempted to choke the husband.

The police spokesperson says, “According to the victim he had been seated in his lounge when he was attacked by three women who put a bin bag over his head and used a scarf to strangle him.” It is furtherly stated that the 62-year-old man fought back, getting the chance to get the bag off of his head. He then noticed that one of the ladies that attempted to murder him was their helper.

The attack kept on going and the women were allegedly joined by the man’s wife, also trying to suffocate him. The man got the chance to press the panic alarm and the neighbour came to save him from the attack. The police officials from Phoenix came to the scene, therefore apprehending the suspects. The women are looking at charges of the conspiracy to commit murder and for attempted murder. The women are due to be at the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
