Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R33 near the New Hanover SAPS.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle drove into a car that was broken down on the road.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that four adult females had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
It is believed that all the occupants of the vehicle were returning home following a wedding in Greytown.
Once treated all the patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
