Watch! Transport Driver Apprehended For Squeezing 58 Children In 14-Seater Vehicle. A school transport driver was apprehended after he allegedly squeezed students in his minibus.

A school transport driver was apprehended after he allegedly squeezed students in his minibus. The incident occurred in Bela-Bela in Limpopo, according to the provinces department of transport and community safety on Tuesday. A video was recorded of one of the traffic officers counting the number of children in the minibus.

The official counted all of the students one by one as they got out of the transport. The official found out that there were 58 children on the minibus, he then looked at the license disc that showed that the vehicle seats 14 people, meaning the minibus was overcrowded. The event happened on Monday. Joel Seabi, the department spokesperson, says the taxi has been confiscated. The spokesperson went on to say that the vehicle has not been registered with any category of public transportation in Limpopo.

Joel Seabi says, “We call upon parents to ensure the vehicles that transport their loved ones are fully compliant with the law, while law enforcement officials will continue to apply zero tolerance to such law breakers on the roads of the province.” One tweep says, “Even the cop is surprised. Imagine the horror if this vehicle get into an accident. A real weapon of mass destruction. Why don’t people wake up to these crimes.” One tweep says, “Poor kids. They don’t know better. It is sad, because it is evident that the taxi industry care less about the individual’s life, but is more focused on money. The commuter being exploited.”
