Watch! Metro Cop Allegedly Drunk While On Duty. A Metro Police Officer from Ekurhuleni was recorded working allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

A Metro Police Officer from Ekurhuleni was recorded working allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The man allegedly almost ran into a biker at Benoni as he was trying to attack the person who was recording the video. In the video recording, the man who was recording the video can be heard saying that there is alcohol in the police vehicle too.

The police officer argued with the man who was recording the video on whether he was drunk. The person recording the video asked the female police officer to test the fellow police officer’s alcohol readings, so that they could know his alcohol levels. The police officers got away without giving the man the alcohol readings that he wanted. Twitter reacted to the video of the drunk police officer. One tweep says, “Why [did] his colleague allow him to talk to people…should have drove him to the police station.” One tweep says, “And we are supposed to trust these people?”

Some tweeps felt remorse for the police officer. One tweep says, “Crime activists should not have posted the video here but reported so the officer would go through tests, immediately…now he’s just here for exposure.” One tweep says the man needs assistance instead of being dismissed. The tweep says, “This is an Employee Assistance matter. I hope he gets help instead of being fired.” One tweep says, “I know this man personally, he took overdoze of flu meds. He complained of feeling drousy to a point of vomit.” The City of Ekurhuleni replied by saying, “This incident has been brought to the attention of the EMPD, who will immediately attend to the matter.”
