Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N14 near Beyers Naude in the direction of Krugersdorp.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a heavy motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that an adult male as well as an adult female sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.
It is believed the truck drove into the back of the car.
The truck driver was not injured.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
