Netcare 911 responded to reports of a business robbery on Van Dyk Road in Klippoortje AH, Germiston.
Reports from the scene indicate that at least eleven suspects robbed a store.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that an adult male off duty security guard and an adult female member of the public sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Both patients were tragically declared deceased on the scene.
The SAPS are on scene and have cordoned off the area for investigations to take place.
