Twitter Users React To Cassper Nyovest Wishing He Was Nigerian. Recently, Cassper Nyovest supposedly said that he wished that he was from Nigeria.
Recently, Cassper Nyovest supposedly said that he wished that he was from Nigeria. He went on to say that the artists in Nigeria receive a lot of support from fans and the media services in the country. He said being from Nigeria was a dream.
“I wish I was from Nigeria too. The love they have for [their] own artists, the way they celebrate their own culture, 90% local content on radio and Tv, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within their industry. A DREAM,” says the ‘Move For Me’ hit maker. As much as Nigerian tweeps expressed their love for the artist, South African tweeps were touched because they believe that he wasn’t seeing the support that they give him.
One tweep jokingly says, “Imagine every year booking flights and accommodation to go fill up stadiums and Cassper says he wants to be Nigerian because you guys don’t support him.” One Twitter user by the controversial handle name ‘@uYesuKrestu’ says, “Cassper is ungrateful after all SA fans have done to build his Fill Up and brand. Just buy a ticket broer take a first flight to Nigeria…He must also host his next fill up in Lagos.”
One tweep stood up for Cassper and tried to explain what the artist meant by his statement. The tweep says, “To [Enlighten] you all what Cassper meant was, he wished he was supported for being him, for doing South African Sound more than when he is Doing the American Sound, like how Nigerians are supporting their own Genre and artists.” One tweep says, “Cassper only represented facts based on numbers of support…Come on stop feeling sensitive…”
