Thee Legacy and renowned producer DJ Maphorisa have crafted the perfect soundtrack for Summer 2018 which speaks to a time where most don’t expect to find love.
THANDO features rising star Mlindo the Vocalist and is the first single off Thee Legacy’s upcoming sophomore album scheduled for release in early 2019.
“The song talks about a chance meeting that leads to unexpected love, ” says Jabulani Mthembu of Thee Legacy.
Thee Legacy have always pushed themselves to bring Isicathamiya into a new millennium to be enjoyed by young and old.
“We have always been about preserving and being proud of our culture, challenging ourselves by blending contemporary sounds with Isicathamiya and connecting that sound to diverse audiences across the globe. So when it came to collaborating with a producer, DJ Maphorisa was a natural fit, and we couldn’t imagine other than Mlindo delivering on the emotive vocals and lyrics which complement Thando,” explains Philani Dlamini of Thee Legacy
THANDO represents a continuation of Thee Legacy’s distinct musical approach which first drew listeners to them through their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album in 2016.
