Tape Used On Airplane To Fix A Cracked Airplane Window. Safety on an airplane is really important for the because of the passengers, hence why before an airplane takes off engineers check it out.

Safety on an airplane is really important  because of the passengers, hence why before an airplane takes off engineers check it out. However, a plane was found in a seemingly unsafe condition. A consumer of the airplane, Hariharan Sankaran, was sitting next by a seat next to a cracked window that was taped.

The man was in awe as to whether this was safe. The man was on a Spicejet airplane. “Spicejet flight SG8152…Mumbai to Delhi flying (5 Nove 2019) with a broken window stuck with cello tape. Isn’t it major safety concern,” says the passenger. The airline responded to the man telling him that safety is of the utmost concern. Spicejet says, “…safety is our utmost concern and at no point in time does the airline compromise on the same. We shall surely convey this to the concerned head for necessary action. The inconvenience caused is regretted.”

The Spicejet airline came back with an update saying, “…the crack was on the inner flexi pane and was fixed the same day. The purpose of the inner pane is to protect the window from scratches. The inner pane doesn’t carry structural pressurization loads.” However, according to a pic from another passenger the airline is not a stranger to some of their planes having damaged parts being supposedly fixed using tape.
