Student Arrested After Video of Pretoria Student Being Bullied Made Rounds On The Internet. The video recording then made rounds on the internet.

A girl was recently apprehended for allegedly bullying another student at the Modiri Secondary School at Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria, according to the Department of Education in Gauteng. The bullying event was video recorded. The video recording then made rounds on the internet.

In the video recording, the girl can thus be seen standing close to the other learner. She then spills a white liquid on the learner’s head. After she spills the white liquid on the fellow pupil, she hits the learner with the container and then walks away. The learner was suspended from the school after the Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, came to the school on Thursday, where he spoke to the parents about a way forward after the matter.

The person that was assaulted would be getting the assistance and counselling needed from a psychosocial unit, according to Steve Mabona, Panyaza Lesufi’s spokesperson. The spokesperson says the parents of the persona who was assaulted were given the advice of opening a file for common assault. The Gauteng Education MEC is also concentrating at the school governing body. He has given them on week to give him reasons as to why he should not break them up. The learner is set to be in court on Friday.
