EASTERN CAPE – The Elliot, Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences unit is investigating a case after a baby was found abandoned on 02 May 2020 at Maclear.
A person heard the cry of a baby between trees and, on further investigation, saw the baby all alone. The baby was brought to the police and taken to the hospital. The baby boy is estimated to be about two months old. At this stage the baby is at a place of safety.
If any person can assist the SAPS with information on the whereabouts of the babies family or if they can identify the baby they must please contact the Commander at the FCS unit Capt MD Gwarube at 045 9312669 or 072 580 0975.
