Restaurant Introduces SA’s First Ever Weed Pizza. The restaurant started selling its pizza to people around Cape Town.

Col’Cacchio, a restaurant that sells artisanal pizza, has started selling its first collection of cannabis pizza. The restaurant started selling its pizza to people around Cape Town. The restaurant started its partnership with africanpure, a company that sells CBD oil, to make the first South African weed pizza.

Kinga Baranowska, the co-founder of the pizza franchise, said the restaurant will have two gourmet pizzas that will have drops of CBD oil. It excludes THC or any chemicals, this makes it ok to eat the pizza for everyone. According to the co-founder, children can also eat the pizzas. It does not make one paranoid or hallucinate. According to the Department of Health, CBD can be sold in the country as long as there daily limit of CBD is below 20 milligrams.

Kinga Baranowska says their goal was to always be fresh. The co-founder says they also wanted to be up with the new health promoting trends. “We love to stay ahead of the curve and are extremely proud to be the first restaurant in SA to launch a cannabis pizza,” Baranoswska tells Sunday Times. Mike Saunders, the co-founder of africanpure, says they are excited to be leading the cannabis topic in South Africa with a restaurant chain.

The new cannabis pizzas are in every Col’Cacchio restaurant, except for the one in Windhoek and the Halaal restaurants. The “Green Goddess” pizza will cost R125 and the “Not-So-Plain Mary Jane” will be cost R140. Consumers that buying anything from the menu can add the CBD oil to their food for R25.
