POLOKWANE – The South African Police Service in Mecklenburg outside Burgersfort are investigating two cases of missing persons, which occurred separately in the area.
It is alleged that a 25-year-old woman, Lenish Mphethi from Shakung village, was last seen by her grandmother when she left home to Burgersfort, on 26 March 2020.
Since then, she never returned home. They tried to contact her cellphone but it was on voicemail.
She is light in complexion, medium in height with brown short hair and gold teeth. Both legs her are tattooed.
Meanwhile in another incident, Tsietsi Mampuru Phasha, aged 36, allegedly left his home at ga Phasha village, between 22 March 2020 and 30 March 2020, without informing anyone about where he was going.
He was wearing a jean and T-shirt. They tried to reach him through a cellphone but it was unavailable.
Police were notified about the two incidents and started with the search operations in and around the area with no success.
The search operations and investigations are still ongoing.
