GQEBERHA – SAPS Mount Road detectives are investigating a culpable homicide after two people died in an accident on the N2 freeway on Monday evening, 11 July 2022.
It is alleged that at about 22:37, on the N2 near Deal Party in the direction of Bluewater Bay, SAPS Mount Road attended a complaint of a culpable homicide. On arrival the members found that one vehicle, an Audi A3, overturned and the driver and passenger succumbed to their injuries on the scene. It is further alleged that the driver was traveling at a high speed and lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn. The names of the deceased will only be released once the next of kin have been informed.
The investigation is ongoing.
