Nomsa Buthelezi has been in a lot of weddings as the presenter of Mzansi Magic’s ‘Our Perfect Wedding’. The presenter saw how straining it was to plan a wedding through the people she hosted on the show. However, planning her own wedding doesn’t seem to be a strain because she supposedly knows what she wants for her wedding. According to TshisaLive, the presenter and actress says that she wants to execute the greatest lessons she was taught while being on the show.
The actress is getting married to her fiancé, Zandile Shezi. The first thing that she plans to execute is to make sure that she invites people that had her back to the wedding. She says the logistics, such as décor and outfits, are not a priority to her. Nomsa Buthelezi says, “I know exactly what I want when it comes to those kinds of elements (outfits, décor and food) and my wedding will be simple but perfect. I’ve been more focused on making sure that the people who are there deserve to be there.”
The actress acknowledges that since she revealed that she was a lesbian, there were people that she had to remove from her space, which contributed to her invitations. She also says what she learnt on ‘Our Perfect Wedding’ was that the people in your circle may mess up your wedding day. She says since Zandile and her came out they had people smile in their faces and when their backs are turned they get nasty comments. “As a same-sex couple, we have had way too many people smile with us and say nasty things about us. Or people that pretend to be happy for us, but wish bad things for us. We don’t want such energy on our wedding day,” says Nomsa Buthelezi.
She says that she will not have any bridesmaids at the wedding, her children will be the only ones leading. She has revealed that some of her friends, the ones that like her, will be wearing a certain colour of clothing that matches with their wedding attire, showing her true friends.
