Man’s Girlfriend Supposedly Breaks Up With Him After He Engaged. People are supposed to be over the moon after they get engaged.
People are supposed to be over the moon after they get engaged. However, for one man, the day after he proposed wasn’t an over the moon moment. The man’s reported brief engagement didn’t last for a long time till his girlfriend called it off.
The man told the ‘Daily Sun’ that he had saved his cash for five years till he could buy the woman and engagement ring that costs R10 000. 46-year-old Joshua Mayine, who lives at Hostel One in Mangaung in the Free State, says his 45-year-old girlfriend told him that she wouldn’t live in a place that smelled badly. He says that she broke up with him even though he put a ring on her finger. “She dumped me even though I put a ring on her finger. She complained about the dirty water in front of the door. She said she couldn’t live like a pig,” says Joshua Mayine. The woman went back home to QwaQwa along with their two year-old daughter. The man has been having a hard time focusing at work because of the event that occurred.
“I’m struggling to focus at work. I loved that woman and I know she loved me too. She can’t dump me because of dirty water. It’s not my fault.” The woman said she moved to the place; however, the place was bad for her and the child. “I was looking forward to tying the knot with Joshua but I refuse to live in a smelly dump like that,” says Monki Montse, the man’s girlfriend. The man says that he will wait for her as he doesn’t want to get married to another woman.
