Late Matwetwe Actor, Sibusiso Khwinana, Murder Trial Begins On Friday. Late Matwetwe Actor, Sibusiso Khwinana, Murder Trial Begins On Friday.

Late Matwetwe Actor, Sibusiso Khwinana, Murder Trial Begins On Friday, the alleged killer is due for trial on Friday. The trial will be held at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. The 35-year-old Julius Lucas was the one accused of killing the actor in March 2019.

The event reportedly occurred while there was a robbery at the Sterlan Mall in Pretoria CBD. The suspect was in court for a while on Wednesday; however, the trial was delayed for Friday in order to let the court get a Swahili translator for the suspect. The beginning of the trial was postponed as problems came about with the suspect’s representation. He had a private lawyer but once the case was moved to the high court he thus needed to apply for a legal aid.

Nelson Kwhinana, Sibusiso Kwhinana’s father, stated that they acknowledged the delay; however, they wanted the trial to happen as soon as possible. He told the media that they would not accept anything that’s below a life Sentence. The fellow co-star, Tebatso Mashishi, who was also in court, was having a hard time coming to Terms with Fellow Matwetwe actor Sibusiso Kwhinana’s passing away. Sibusiso Kwhinana’s father says, “Tebatso is not coping well since they were together when it happened and he carried him till the paramedics arrived. His takkies were soaked in Sibusiso’s blood. I have been trying to console him.” Sibusiso Kwhinana was declared dead on the scene where he was stabbed.
