Lady Allegedly Sues Drake For Head Injury She Got From His Concert. She says the injury ended up in her getting seizures.
OVO records owner Drak and the Madison Square Garden have a lawsuit against them from a lady who says that she was injured at the rapper’s concert in 2016. She says the injury ended up in her getting seizures. According to The Blast, the woman by the name of Amanda Giovacco is laying a lawsuit against Drake after she was injured at his concert.
The papers that were received by the news site say that the lady was at the concert in Madison Square Garden, New York City, in 2016 when the other attendants started getting “rowdy”. The event ended up in her getting hit with a bottle. Amanda Giovacci is now blaming Madison Square Garden, Drake, worker by the name of Joseph Picco and Live Nation for the injuries that she received at the concert.
“Amanda Giovacco, was violently struck by a beer bottle that was thrown while attending the Drake concert, was maliciously and without just cause provocation, subjected to battery,” says the court papers. The woman’s lawyers say that the rapper and other parties that are sued were supposed to take certain precautionary measures to avert the situation from happening. The legal team also says the people who were working at the event were supposed to give people cups for their alcohol instead of having bottles.
The legal team went on to say that there has been a history of violence in the rapper’s concert, which should have prompted them to take certain measures to avert the situation. The court papers say, “They knew Drake has a history of violence at his concerts, providing a dangerous weapon at Drake’s concerts.” The woman also states that the rapper’s concert didn’t have a good enough security. The lawsuit doesn’t say how much the woman is suing the rapper and the other parties for but it does state that the woman has a serious brain injury and seizures.
