One social media user posted an appreciation post on Twitter for his girlfriend. The man spoke about all the things that his girlfriend did for him. He also said that the girl. He told tweeps about the girl cooking for him and making sure that he studies for his exams.
The said: “When I arrive she always gives me the biggest hug and says “King, your plate is in the microwave”…today she made a mean Spaghetti meal.” He also said: “I had to write a test in order to qualify for my exams . She did not have to write this test yet she stayed up late with me studying. We slept for 2 hours.”
However tweeps were not really keen on what the girl was doing for the guy. The tweeps dubbed her “Res Makoti.” One tweep says the situation makes her hesitate sending her own children to a Res or an apartment when they reach varsity. The tweep says, “…they must stay home and avoid being bo makoti & mokgonyana while I think they studying and partying.”
Another tweep says the girl is “trying too hard to be the perfect makoti wase Res.” The tweep also says that she hopes the girl leaves varsity with a degree. “All the never ending cooking is unnecessary. She should be studying,” says the tweep.
One tweep says, “Honestly if Res Makoti could repurpose all that energy she spends on chores and raising her bf (boyfriend), she could clock like two ore majors in record time. Oath.” Other tweeps laughed at the “Res Makoti” name. One tweep says, “Res Makoti…you guys don’t know peace.” Another tweep said that would be a good Mzansi Magic show. One tweep also says “Lmao yall are calling her “Res Makoti” now?” One tweep laughed at a tweet saying that there is a video of her being a “Popeye” (a fool).
