Health Representative Arrested For Stealing Medicine. The representatives that caught the executive health representative contacted the managing director.
An executive health representative is in trouble after he was caught with cratesof ARVs behind his vehicle. The health representative was from the uMkhanyakude region. He was nabbed when he was about to exit Othobothini Hospital in Ngwavuma at KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.
The representatives that caught the executive health representative contacted the managing director. The managing director told the representatives to dial the police about the matter. According to Daily Sun, a source said the representatives started realising that a significant amount of ARVs was absent in September.
The source says, “We used to find boxes hidden in the building. But investigations went nowhere which made us suspect other knew what was going on.” The crates that were discovered were from the Ingwavuma and Obonjeni hospital departments. The apprehended executive health representative had the right to enter every hospital in the region.
The health representative was thought to have been working with drug dealers. He is said to be frequently recognised at Delunia in Jozini. Delunia is said to be a hub for whoonga addicts. One source said the ARV drugs are manufactured to create drugs. So they think the male health representative “is selling them to drug smugglers.”
Captain Nqobile Gwala, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, acknowledged that they apprehended the male representative. The file was given to an executive public prosecutor for an answer of whether to arrest the male or not. Ncumisa Mafuna, the Health spokesperson, said the Health Department was examining the matter.
