PRETORIA – A 32-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday at his home in Ottery, Cape Town, following a joint intelligence driven operation led by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team together with Crime Intelligence, SAPS K9 unit and Customs officials.
His arrest was preceded by a search and seizure that unearthed a consignment of illicit and counterfeit cigarette worth an estimated street value of R122 000.00 at his premises. He is expected to make his first court appearance at Wynberg Magistrate’s court on Thursday, 14 May 2020.
