The Hawks have supposedly saved nine ladies along with a 14-year-old girl from a place in Nelson Mandela Drive in Bloemfontein. They were used by a 27-year-old man at the area. Warrant Officer Lynda Steyn, the Hawks spokesperson, on Sunday said that they found the man with the ladies.
Warrant Officer Lynda Steyn says, “With him in the flat were 10 ladies who are alleged to be prostitutes living under his command.” The Hawks spokesperson went on to say that there was a journal that had a list with the names of the alleged prostitutes, along with the money they’ve made per day. She went on to say that they also discovered 24 seemingly brown rocks at the place.
They also discovered the supposed pipes and took them away. The 10 ladies have been to a safe haven. The 14-year-old was taken to a social worker. “Condoms, and pipes used to smoke the rocks were found and confiscated. The 10 prostitutes were rescued and taken to a place of safety. The 10th victim is 14 years of age and she was handed over to the social worker,” says Warrant Officer Lynda Steyn. The 27-year-old man is due at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
