Centane Regional Magistrate’s Court convicted and sentenced 27-year-old Asekho Kilani to undergo 16 years imprisonment. The accused person was sentenced on Thursday, 29 August 2019 at Centane Regional Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that the accused accompanied a 23 year old woman to go to her boyfriend on the 21 June 2018 at about 21h30 at Rwantsana Locality, Qombolo Village, Centane. While the two were on their way to homestead of the victim’s boyfriend, the accused became vicious and threatened the victim with knife.
He fell her down and raped then raped the victim. A case of rape was registered at Centane Police Station. The accused was traced, arrested and charged with rape.
