GAUTENG – Alleged fake attorney remanded in custody for fraud

GAUTENG – The Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court remanded Mammie Anna Magonwane (39) in custody on fraud related charges yesterday.

It is alleged that in August 2018, Magonwane allegedly misrepresented herself as a Property Agent Conveyancing Attorney assisting a client who wanted to purchase a house in Evaton. Magonwane allegedly facilitated the house sale for approximately R230 000-00 without processing documents with authorities for change of ownership and kept the money for herself.
