Four Tricks To Survive This Winter Season. Well for those who hate winter, don’t worry then.

If you are just like me. You hate the bleep out of winter and you would do anything to protect yourself from this weather. Well for those who hate winter, don’t worry then. Here are a few tricks that could help you with this winter weather.

Trick 1: Keep Thyself Warm

You don’t need to have a heater to keep yourself warm. Worst of all a heater costs you a lot of electricity money, so there’s no need, also consider that we as South Africans are struggling with electricity now. #LoadShedding. Cover yourself with a blanket, gown, knee high socks and slippers. If you are the extreme counterpart you can use the warm water bottles. PS: I fear the bottles.

Trick 2: Keep Thyself Healthy

Be aware, the season does not cause you to get ill. You just stop focusing on your health during winter. During winter it’s important to look after your immune system more than ever. You just need to focus on getting good hours of sleep (6-8 hours of sleep). Keep yourself sanitised at all costs because germs wander around more during winter, it’s a whole festival out there. Exercise for at least 30 minutes.

Trick 3: Keep Thee Nostrils And Eyes Moist

Winter is full of winds and any type of dry air. The wind and dry air creates various illnesses. Every part of your body will be dried up during this winter season. Most importantly, you need to keep your eyes and nostrils need to be layered from the dry air and wind. Apply lotion or petroleum jelly to keep you away from the winds and dry air. Keep your house moist to prevent dry attacking your body. You could use a humidifier to remove the dry air.

Trick 4: Exercise, Exercise And Exercise!!

I know people always say comfort food is needed to survive the weather. Comfort food is good but you won’t really survive the winter with that. It can keep you warm but also hurt your immune system if you not careful. That’s why you need to exercise. I know it’s cold and you can’t be doing such in this blistering cold. You can run, do bodyweight workouts, ride around in a bike or any other type of cardio exercise. This helps you keep warm, builds your immune system and it also helps you stay fit, which is a plus.

Trick 5: Keep Layered Up

Always wear warm clothes during the winter season. Wear long sleeves from the shirts to the jackets. This also helps in protecting your skin from the dry air.

Now Let’s Go Heat Up That Winter Season!
