Dutywa Police arrested a 34-year-old man for alleged rape. It is alleged that a 28-year-old woman was visiting her friend on Friday, 16 December 2018 at about 18:00. She came across the suspect at Doti Locality, Mangathi Village, Dutywa.
It is further alleged that the suspect dragged the victim to his room where he allegedly raped her. Two men went to the room of the suspect and found him raping the victim. The two men phoned Dutywa Police who rushed to the crime scene. The suspect was found at his home.
The suspect was arrested and charged for rape. He will appear before the Dutywa Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 18 December 2018 on a rape charge.
