Today marks the release of DJ Maphorisa’s new video for Oncamnce featuring Kwesta, Stilo Magolide and Zingah. You can catch the TV exclusive on MTV Base today at 11:00, 16:00 and 20:00.
With the rise of Gqom and the nation looking to Maphorisaas an accomplished producer, he has been able to fuse many elements into the popular genre. Oncamnce is the second official release off of GQOM WAVE and sees Maphorisa taking an unconventional approach to Gqom by featuring hip hop artists only.
“I am always in my studio, forever thinking of innovative ways to fuse different sounds together. When I heard the beat, I could definitely hear Kwesta, Stilo and Zingah on it, and they did way more than I expected,” said the Midnight Starring hit-maker.
He spent the festive season ruling dancefloors all over the country with his smash hit single Midnight Starring. The video recently received over 2 million views on YouTube and is still continuing to grow. You can watch the video here.
