A video recording of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Advocate Dali Mpofu, was posted on social media. In the video, Aldrin Sampear, the eNCA news reporter, asked the Advocate to give his view on the allegations by the IEC that other people are voting twice. The advocate replied saying that the allegations were true.
He went on saying that when he heard the reports of this nature in the Eastern Cape, he asked Economic freedom Fighters representatives in the Eastern Cape to test if it is possible. He says he also asked a Democratic Alliance representative to do ask his members to do it. The Democratic Alliance member told him that the person who was testing it was able to vote three times.
He said the incident that happened is a crime because it is electoral fraud. However social media users were shocked at him sending other people to vote more than once. One social media user said: “isn’t this guy incriminating himself.” One of the users said what Advocate Dali mpofu did was a good thing. The user said: “The point is IEC never admits their flaws…testing it was a correct thing… (Well done) Dali.
Another user said: “You listeed yes but clearly didn’t comprehend. Why would you test a crime by committing a crime? Don’t bemediocre.” One social media user said that Advocate Mpofu is an accomplice to the crime. One other tweep mocked the Advocate’s mentality. The user said: “Doesn’t talk like an advocate, his even telling us they are going to disturb parliament.” 20 people have been apprehended for voting two times in KwaZulu-Natal. The IEC knows that the votes will still be registered.
