Cops Looking For Security Guard That Allegedly Walked Away With R4 Million In Trash bags. Police are looking for a woman who’s was an SBV Services employee.

Police are looking for a woman who’s was an SBV Services employee. The woman allegedly stole R4 million from the company in July 2019. The woman, who is a security guard at the place, has not been working since the event happened. The ‘Sowetan’ reports that Bathobile Mlangeni put millions of rands in cash in a trash bag at the SBV cash depot in Mall of Africa in Midrand on the 15th of July.

The lady reportedly opened two bulk cash bags and then transferred the money in a few trash bags. She then reportedly put the trash bags in a trolley and walked away. The incident was reported recorded on a CCTV camera. She has not been to work since then and she no one knows where she is. SBV Services released a statement on Tuesday. They have asked people of the public to help with details that may help police with their examination.

The statement says, “This is not a cash centre, but a collection facility for cash collected from tenants in the mall. A case was lodged with the SAPS when the occurred, and SBV’s Risk and Compliance team is continuing to work closely with the SAPS on the investigation. This is line with SBV’s relentless pursuit on all matters of crime that affect the business.” Mark Barret, the CEO of the SBV Services, says the company as a service provider makes sure that money is there for South African citizens. The CEO went on to say that the company does not tolerate any crime and they ensure take internal and external instances seriously.
