Community members are once again warned not to fall victim to scams.
Fraudsters want to create a sense of urgency to limit the amount of time you spend researching and thinking about the potential investment. Anything sold as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” should be avoided.
This warning comes after three suspects were arrested on Monday, 13 June 2022 members of SAPS Orlando for theft under false pretence.
The trio allegedly took an amount of R28 000-00 from a 64-year-old woman. One of the suspects allegedly claimed to be a “prophet” and indicated to the victim that she will win R1-million from the National Lottery after four days.
