You are heartless and unethical. Denying some a chance to serve a notice period,” says Samkele Maseko.
He also goes on to speak about an alleged censoring of a certain news piece. He says, “Do you want me to speak about how you instructed that [ANC] MP Bongani Bongo be censored by removing all the allegations he made at Minister Pravin Gordhan? What happened to simple journalism principle of two sides to a story? Getting both parties to answer for themselves.” This was a reply to a tweet some saw as offensive.
The tweet by Kathan Pillay says, “Rats swimming towards a sinking ship…” Celebs also had serious allegations about the eNCA news boss, some of them worked for the boss on other platforms. The celebs that stood with Samkele Maseko included former YFM hosts and a former eNCA colleague. DJ Fresh says the man’s hands on approach was the reason why he left. “His becoming hands on at YFM was the reason I jumped ship, and why it was so easy to leave!!! He is not a nice person at all,” says DJ Fresh.
Thando Thabethe says, “Didn’t get to serve my notice at Y or even do 1 more show after letting them know I got offered a show on 5, got told [to] leave immediately!!! Further got told to leave Club808 immediately.” Former YFM presenter Leslie Kasumba agreed with DJ Fresh that the eNCA news boss is not a nice person. “Oh my gosh I co-sign this! He even faked a whole water case against me, lied that it cost the company x amount and it was not the case. He is a horrible horrible man. I never had the courage back then but yeah what a bad human being,” says Leslie Kasumba. Moja Love’s ‘Show Me Love’ host and former eNCA reporter Nontobeko Sibisi says, “That man is the devil himself. He “chaired” my DC hearing – unprofessional, unethical, crude, vile…He does their dirty firing work. He has killed so many careers…”
