Businessman In Trouble For Allegedly Comparing Black People To Apes. Racism in South Africa has been getting quite a lot of backlash from the justice system.

Racism in South Africa has been getting quite a lot of backlash from the justice system. One businessman seems to be in trouble for allegedly being racist towards black people in Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal. He is accused of allegedly comparing black people to monkeys and baboons after the 2019 version of uMhlathuze Beach Festival.

Slondile Mkhize, the uMhlathuze speaker, wants justice to be taken against Lorenzo Greyling. The businessman allegedly wrote on a Facebook chat group titled ‘Selling Things in Richards Bay’. This was after some members grumbled about the litter after the beach festival. The post stated that people that went to the festival are not educated like animals.

The post says, “What do you expect of these barbarians. They not educated like animals. You think a baboon or monkey picks up what he ate, nope they devour all or just drop it to the floor.” The uMhlathuze speaker has asked the legislation and the Human Rights Commission To deal with the matter. Slondile Mkhize has also asked other individuals to rethink before they post offensive stuff on the internet. The speaker says, “We are building a society that is slowly uniting and coming to a good understanding of each other’s culture, religion and languages with an objective of living side by side in harmony as a common society.”
