Brother Kills Sister By Mistake And Father Reportedly Tries To Hide It. The victim, Mathapelo Seanego, a 17-year-old, was in the family’s bakkie with her fellow pupils from Lemetja Secondary School.

There has been three tragedies for a Limpopo family. The son has a case of culpable homicide after he reportedly ran over his sister. The sister died due to the accident.

The father is also being charged for defeating the ends of justice. The father allegedly attempted to hide the event that occurred. The Seanego family, in Bakenberg area, reportedly didn’t report the accident to the police just after the son reportedly “killed” his sister.

The event occurred on Monday. The victim, Mathapelo Seanego, a 17-year-old, was in the family’s bakkie with her fellow pupils from Lemetja Secondary School. They were heading home. The bakkie is currently in the custody of the police.

Police say that the victim Mathapelo jumped off the bakkie while it was still moving, which caused her to die. Her 20-year-old brother was the one driving the bakkie. The driver was unlicensed and he was reportedly sent by the father. He was sent to go fetch his sister and her fellow pupils at school.

Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says that Mathapelo, a matric student, was sent to Nkidikitlana clinic. The clinic pronounced that she was dead. Ngoepe says the father allegedly harassed nurses at the clinic to release her body without following proper procedures.

Colonel Ngoepe says the matter was not reported to the police.According to a Sowetan Live source from the village, the family moved the bakkie from the scene of the crime and removed blood stains from the car. This was part of an attempt of hiding the evidence.

Ngoepe said they will open a case against the father for defeating the ends of justice because the father did not report the case. The body of Mathapelo has been relocated to a government mortuary, a post mortem was set to be taken today.
