Part of being human includes having phobias for certain things. However, the Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula has made the idea of not fearing anything famous on South African social media. Black Twitter feels as if not fearing certain things means not fearing anything.

Black Twitter named certain things that they would or did do, which means they don’t fear anything. They used the hashtag #HowYouKnowIFearV**ol. One tweep says, “I once took a selfie next to [a] cash in transit vehicle.” One tweep says she unplugged her boyfriend’s Playstation 4 while he was playing. “I unplugged my mans PS4 while he was playing FIFA and stood there. Proud,” says thee tweep. One tweep says, “I once stopped 3 taxis to town and ran away…” One tweep says, “changing the channel whilst the old man is watching news.”

One tweep says she has walked the streets of Joburg with no issues while she had some expensive items on her. The tweep says, “I’ve walked in Joburg streets with my big gold ring, necklace, branded handbag to a taxi rank and managed to even shop a little on [my] way and made it home.” One tweep says, “wrote my grade 9 teacher a love letter.” One tweep says, “I told my mother that since I finished my matric I’m allowed to do whatever I want it’s my life afterall…”
