Bheki Cele Demolishes Guns From All Over South Africa And Restricts The Use Guns. The people who were part of the crowd had to stand a bit further from the incident to stay clear from being hurt.

The South African Minister of police, Bheki Cele says that fire weapons should be scrapped for use by citizens. The Minister spoke about the issue at Arcelor Mittal Steel in Vereeniging, Gauteng. Cele says that he wishes to only have the authorities carrying guns in South Africa.

30 000 guns were demolished and dissolved. The people who were part of the crowd had to stand a bit further from the incident to stay clear from being hurt. The Minister of police stated that a lot of the illicit guns that are used, have been stolen from a residence when burglaries took place.

The melted weapons have been confiscated from people or have been donated by people to the South African Police Service. The event has been happening at every province. Gauteng donated the most guns followed by Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga. The Minister of police says that approximately 10 000 guns were confiscated and 20 000 were freely given by the citizens of South Africa.

Bheki Cele says the amount of guns in the police security establishments have approximately 60 000 guns which the authorities have planned to demolish in due time. Bheki Cele says, “There has to be a shorter time period for the next destruction. This is to cut off anyone getting any funny ideas, and these firearms getting their way back on to the street.”

The South African police Service says it will dispute the spread of illicit weapons because this is bad for the South African society. The project aims to ensure a better South Africa for the people living in it.
