Police in Algoa Park are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 25-year-old woman who is allegedly responsible for the burning five shacks and three vehicles in Missionvale during the early hours of this morning.
It is alleged that earlier on the evening of 12 March 2022, the complainant (25) and his girlfriend had an argument where she allegedly threatened to burn down his shack at Rolihlahla Squatter Camp. All the shacks were completely gutted. Three other vehicles that were in the complainant’s yard were also destroyed.
No one was injured and the fire department extinguished the fire.
The suspect has since disappeared and her whereabouts are unknown. Police are investigating a case of arson and malicious damage to property.
