WESTERN CAPE – Vigilant members from Delft SAPS arrested two suspects aged 35 and 46 after their vehicle was stopped at a Vehicle Check Point in Symphony Way this morning. Police searched their vehicle and found 20 plastic packets with 1000 mandrax tablets worth an estimated street value of R600 000-00. The suspects are expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s court once they have been charged.
In an unrelated incident, two suspects were arrested yesterday in possession of boxes of chicken which were looted from a truck that was hijacked in Monwood Drive in Browns Farm. Police were alerted to the scene and apprehended the two suspects. A third suspect was also arrested for attack on police, after the members were pelted with stones. The suspects aged between 17 and 28 are scheduled for a court appearance this week for the possession of stolen property and attack on police.
