Watch! Shelves Nearly Cleaned Out Due To People Panic Shopping In South Africa #Coronavirussouthafrica. The announcement that the coronavirus has been declared as a national disaster by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, on Sunday has put many people in South Africa under panic.

The announcement that the coronavirus has been declared as a national disaster by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, on Sunday has put many people in South Africa under panic. So, on Monda, Makro had to be able to meet quite a high demand on household goods. People are now stocking up on household goods due to the panic caused by the virus.

A video recording of a large number of people in a que made rounds on the internet. Black Twitter reacted to the large number of people buying a lot of household goods. One tweep asked Makro and other stores to limit the amount of products that people take. “…Would it not seem prudent to place limits on the quantity people can buy during a pandemic? It’s ridiculous that I stood behind a woman who bought the entire shelf of toilet paper and sanitizer, leaving 3 bottles for the rest of us…”

One tweep says, “guys before everyone buys the whole of Makro please consider those who are most at risk who cannot afford to buy anything in bulk. Just because you want 300 bottles of sanitizer doesn’t mean you need 300 bottles of hand sanitizer come now people.” One tweep says, “The clearing of the [shelves] kind of buying on the rise in SA because of #Coronavirussouthafrica, toilet paper, hand sanitiser leading. Its black Friday on a Monday. Makro, Checkers.” The president has prohibited visitors from Europe and China from visiting in China. President Cyril Ramaphosa has also prohibited a large number interaction of more than 100 individuals.
