Glenwood Preparatory In News Because Of Two Over Age Boys In Rugby. A school in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, has started an examination into the allegations that they let players that are overage to play in their squad in 2018 and 2019.

A school in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, has started an examination into the allegations that they let players that are overage to play in their squad in 2018 and 2019. It is alleged that two boys from the school that played for the Under-14 squad were 17 and 18 years old, not 14 years old. The two players were the main attraction of the school, Glenwood Preparatory School, according to ‘School Of Rugby’.

One of the players was given the title of ‘Player of the Tournament’, while the other player was given title of ‘Backline Player of the Tournament’ at the Glenwood High School’s yearly rugby festival. The school sent a statement saying that they weren’t aware that the two players were over the required weight, on Wednesday. “It has been established with the help of Glenwood High School that in 2018 and 2019, Glenwood Prep unknowingly played two players who were overage. The provided documentation withstood all scrutiny as it was genuine. Two players concerned used documentation that belonged to younger boys,” says the Principal of the school Noel Ingle.

They have told the KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Union about the issue since its part of the procedure says the principal of Glenwood Prep. The KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Union has launched its own examination into the matter. The principal also asked for forgiveness from the school and the rugby community as a whole.
