6-Year-Old Hides In Classroom From Grandma Who Allegedly Uses Axe To Assault Him. A 6-year-old was discovered hiding in a classroom at his school.

A 6-year-old was discovered hiding in a classroom at his school. The school is situated close to Ermelo in Mpumalanga. The boy was allegedly hiding from his grandmother who is allegedly abusive. Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, states that the 40-year-old grandma used an axe to charge at the 6-year-old as one type of abuse.

The woman was apprehended on Wednesday on a count of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The woman has been taken out of court with R500 bail. She is set to appear at the Mayflower Periodical Court on the 30th of March. The learner was discovered by a public representative on the 14th of February walking around the streets alone in his school uniform. The boy was taken to his school where he was given refuge in of the classrooms.One of the teachers was busy locking up classrooms on the day was checking if everything was in place at the classrooms. She found the boy in the classroom while others already headed home.

“The teacher politely talked to the to find out the reason why the boy was still in class instead of being at home. The boy related the story of being constantly abused and assaulted by his own grandmother. The teacher informed fellow teachers who were still at the school and police immediately summoned.” The police spokesperson says the boy had critical bruises all over his body. According to further investigation, the boy was afraid of going home because of the experience that he had.
