Emergency Services Investigate Medical Workers After Cousins Are Coerced Into  Begging For Medical Help. The general manager’s office at the emergency services in the Eastern Cape has started an examination into paramedics that allegedly didn’t want to help a patient.

The general manager’s office at the emergency services in the Eastern Cape has started an examination into paramedics that allegedly didn’t want to help a patient. The patient was supposedly experiencing a stroke. The paramedics were supposedly video recorded while the incident happened. The video was shared on social media last week Friday.

In the video recording, two people can be heard begging the medical workers outside Grey Hospital in King William’s Town. The two people were cousins, they were asking the medical workers to help them with the helper as they were worried that she had just had a stroke. However, their begging was linked with stares that did not include help by the medical workers. One of the medical workers even lit up a cigarette. One of the cousins, Sama Gezani, called the ambulance when they woke up to finding the helper on the floor.

The woman was breathing but she wasn’t responding. The dispatcher told them that they were producing an emergency vehicle. Once the lady took her child to school she heard that the ambulance had still not come yet. She then went to the hospital with her cousin to go speak with paramedics because they were afraid of moving the helper. “I just sensed that I am really not going to be taken seriously. I don’t think they were taking the situation seriously and I could see them laughing,” says Sama Gezani. The cousin wrote about the incident on her Facebook account.
