Clothing Store Controversial ‘Water Polo Teacher’s Pet’ T-Shirt Gets Slammed. A famous South African clothing store, Big Blue, has been criticised for selling a controversial T-shirt line.

A famous South African clothing store, Big Blue, has been criticised for selling a controversial T-shirt line. The T-shirt was written “Water Polo Teacher’s Pet” on the front. The T-shirt were supposedly sold during the festive season. In a Facebook post, Luke Lamprecht, the advocacy manager for Women and Men Against Child Abuse went on to speak about the store.

He had a lot of questions in regards to the way people will perceive the message. He also had questions about the thought processes of the people who bought the T-shirt. “Most importantly how do the Parktown and Bishops victims feel about now being made into PETS,” says Luke Lamprecht. The advocacy manager was speaking about the previous Parktown Boys’ High School coach that was charges with multiple counts of sexual assault in 2018 and the previous Bishops Diocesan College educator’s sexual conducts with five learners from the school.

James Robertson, the Big Blue representative, stated that the T-shirts have been taken off and destroyed. The representative says, “We’ve messed up big time…we absolutely do not condone or support any form of abuse. We unreservedly apologise to everybody.” He also goes on to say that the people who bought the t-shirts will be refunded and the shirt will be destroyed.
