Mother Accused Of Cutting Off Man’s Private Part For Allegedly Sexually Assaulting And Killing Daughter. A mother, Veronique Makwena, was set to appear in court in Port Elizabeth for mutilating a man’s private part.

A mother, Veronique Makwena, was set to appear in court in Port Elizabeth for mutilating a man’s private part. The man she mutilated was suspected of sexually assaulting and murdering her five-year-old daughter, Chantelle. The 23-year-old mother is charged for attempted murder with her family friend Siyabonga Pakade and her sister-in-law Noxolo Maneli.

The three of them are charged for assaulting the man after they discovered her child’s body at a public toilet. Fundile Matoto, the three suspects’ pro-bono legal representative, does not deny the act that the woman did but says the charges against them should be deducted. The lawyer told news 24 that in his opinion “this case is a matter of assault, at most, grievous bodily harm.” The five-year-old went missing in August 2018.

The mother reportedly says that she was missing when they got home when it was around dark from the shops. They left the child in the care of a friend. They spent the whole night trying to find the child to no avail. Her body was then discovered at a public toilet by the Veronique Makwena’s husband. The officials then started an examination. A man in his 20s was then taken by officers for DNA testing, they couldn’t apprehend him till the results return.

About one month later, the mother and her two accomplices allegedly went to confront the man, telling him that he was responsible for the death of Chantelle. During the time where they confronted him, the man’s private part was cut off. The man called out the three of their names in his assault. The man had a surgery to reattach his private part, which went through well. The mother was then apprehended and jailed for two weeks until ‘Enough is Enough’ helped raise money for bail and groceries.

The mother says when Chantelle was found her heart sank and she was crushed. “My daughter was gone. While we looked for her through the night, she had been lying in that cold toilet. I was broken, I still am,” says Veronique Makwena. The court case will continue in February 2020 due to further examination needed.
