Nigerian Authorities Have Rescued 19 Preganant Ladies From An Alleged Baby Factory In Lagos. The Nigerian police officials have rescued 19 pregnant from an alleged baby factory in Lagos.

The Nigerian police officials have rescued 19 pregnant from an alleged baby factory in Lagos. BBC reports that the ladies are persuaded by traffickers to Lagos, the women come from different areas in the country. The women were promised jobs but then the ladies are raped by the traffickers, coercing them to have babies.

One of the women that were saved told ‘Vanguard’ newspaper that she was picked up at the bus park and brought to the property. “The next day, I was summoned by our madam, who told me that I would not leave the premises until next year. So far, I have slept with seven different men before I discovered I was pregnant. I was told that after delivery, I would be paid handsomely,” says the rescued women in the ‘Vanguard’ newspaper report.

Two ladies that were working as untrained nurses were apprehended but the primary suspect that the police officials wanted is still on the loose. The officials say that the babies would be sold for an estimate of R21 0000 for boys and an estimate of R13 000 for girls. The potential clients are also currently not known to the police officials. The news of the alleged baby factories are reportedly known in Nigeria. There have supposedly been multiple raids in the former times. The women that were rescued, ranging from 15-year-old to 28-year-old, are being rehabilitated, according to police official statements.
